Welcome to the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria de Telecomunicació de Barcelona (Barcelona School of Telecommunications Engineering), ETSETB’s website. Placed in the city of Barcelona, ETSETB is one of the Schools which forms part of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Technical University of Catalonia). Since its beginnings, in November 1971, the School has been growing up until nowadays, becoming one of the main references in the telecommunications field, not just in the Catalan or Spanish territory, but also in Europe.

ETSETB has over 3000 students (more than 600 new students and 400 graduates every year), over 300 professors (including about 250 doctors). ETSETB is placed in the Campus Nord, one the most up-to-date college campuses in Europe (having a hundred academic laboratories, a sports center, a library and hosting also the Barcelona School of Computer Science, FIB, and the Barcelona Civil Engineering School, ETSECCPB).

High-quality teaching is a major priority at ETSETB. Though our school is one of the largest in Spain, there are at most 60 students in lecture classes and from 15 to 20 students in lab classes, where only 2 students share the same equipment. 

At ETSETB there is a close interaction between research and teaching. Our chief educational goals include instilling students with a critical approach, the ability to teach themselves and a business-like attitude, which is partly why our graduates are so highly esteemed in Spanish and International companies.
